Chaotic Crafter

Ok, I admit it! I am a chaotic crafter! I will decide on a project, tear my house apart gathering supplies, go to the store to get things I did not already have, begin the project and then get distracted by kids, hubby or life in general and "take a break".

Our house is pretty small and our family is pretty big, so space for crafting is a challenge already. Having additional space for a craft I am not currently working on is not happening! My sweet hubby is a bit of a neat freak (seriously, like almost OCD) so what usually happens when I walk away from a project is that he will throw everything in a grocery bag or 5 and throw it in my craft closet.

I think I mentioned that space is scarce in our house, so what I mean by my craft closet is the 3 shelves behind the huge collection of winter coats in the front closet! Usually by the time this happens I have lost a lot of the excitement and momentum of beginning a project so pulling everything out seems like more hassle then it's worth and I decide I will work on it tomorrow and it might be 6 months before I go back to that one. Honestly I have dresses that I have cut out and are waiting to be sewn together for my oldest daughter in there that are size 5t. She will be 13 on Monday.

I would love nothing more than to have all of the time in the world to craft and decorate and build things without interruptions, but for now that is just not an option. I see a time in my future where I will be doing just that in between visits from the grand babies, but for now I am content to work around my own babies and their various needs and activities. So I decided to try to be more disciplined and work on one project at a time until it is done. I have decided that I am going to focus on making my house the home of my families dreams! I look forward to taking that journey on my blog!

Love,
Mary Gina Carr
