The Perfect Pancake
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 egg
- 3 tbsp butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat a griddle to 350 degrees
- In a cup put the milk and vinegar together and set aside while combining the rest of the ingredients. This will turn the milk curdly into a fake buttermilk.
- Combine all of the dry ingredients in one bowl and mix together with spoon.
- Using a whisk combine the melted butter, vanilla, egg and "buttermilk".
- Put all ingredients together in large bowl and mix until lumps are gone
- Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup drop batter onto heated griddle and cook until bubbles appear.
- Flip pancakes and cook on other side.
This recipe will yield 10 pancakes. I usually double the recipe for my family of 6. Sometimes we have leftovers that can be frozen and then reheated in the toaster.
